Rooted in hospitality, driven by a love for how things work.

The Story

Hi, I’m Jess! For six years, I owned and operated Peppercorn Events, a boutique catering company in northern NJ (just outside NYC). From elegant charity galas to chaotic, wildly themed first birthday parties, I oversaw it all.

That hands-on operational experience naturally led me to launch a sister company, Peppercorn Planning, to handle the logistical heavy lifting, design and production of events. While I absolutely LOVE a good theme, I realized during that time that my true thrill didn't come from the decor, it came from building the systems that allowed for flawlessly streamlined, behind-the-scenes execution.

Emerging from the "new mom fog" (courtesy of my 3-year-old daughter and 1-year-old son), I decided it was time for a drastic pivot that leaned entirely into that passion for operations.

With the technical know-how of my husband, who doubles as my partner and Director of Software Engineering, we founded Async Lambda. We traded hospitality for digital efficiency, focusing on untangling messy processes through automations, website integrations, and data transformation.

Whether I’m at my desk or around the house, I am wired to build, refine, and optimize. I’m a natural researcher who loves a good hands-on project. Lately, that means planting a backyard vegetable garden with my kids, swapping store-bought baked goods for homemade versions, and flipping furniture to perfectly fit our home. I pour the same level of intense research and care into my personal passions as I do into untangling complex workflows for my clients. If you are looking to streamline your operations and want a partner who genuinely cares about the details, let's talk.
