The One Wedding Expense You Probably Forgot to Budget For
When you first sit down to build your wedding budget, it is so easy to get caught up with the fun parts. Picking the perfect venue, selecting the food, finding the perfect band or DJ, and all the florals. But after years of running Peppercorn Planning and coordinating countless celebrations, there is one major line item that almost everyone forgets.
The tips!
Gratuity is almost always left out of the initial budget. The absolute last thing you want to be doing on the morning of your wedding is frantically trying to do math, scrolling through Venmo, or sending someone on a last-minute ATM run while you are supposed to be relaxing.
To avoid some of those last minute expenses that end up bringing you over budget, its best to plan ahead, even for the tips! When you treat gratuity as a fixed cost from day one, it won't feel like a surprise expense at the finish line. The week before your event, put the cash into clearly labeled envelopes and hand them off to your planner (or the most responsible bridesmaid!) to distribute throughout the day.
To take the guesswork completely off your plate, we’ve pulled two of our most requested resources from the Peppercorn Planning archives. Grab these free guides to keep your planning beautifully streamlined:
